Alexis Phipps

Registered Social Worker

Alexis Phipps is a Registered Social Worker based in Toronto who works with individuals experiencing complex and often stigmatized mental health challenges. Her areas of focus include Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, anxiety, and self-harm behaviours. She also works with families who are looking to improve communication and build stronger connections through family therapy. Alexis takes a trauma-informed and client-centred approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). 


She also incorporates principles from Internal Family Systems and Shame Resilience frameworks to help clients develop emotional regulation, self-compassion, and a deeper understanding of their experiences. Her goal is to support clients in healing from relational and developmental trauma while building the tools and insight needed to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
